Some Thoughts on Marriage...

I think that too many people give up on marriage.

I believe that love must be thought of as a verb. not just a feeling.

I believe that there is no room for selfishness in a marriage.

I believe that if you fell in love with a person once, you can fall in love with them again and again.

I believe some of the best advice that was ever given to me is that you can't go into a marriage thinking of divorce as an option- thanks mama.

I think that society has downplayed the importance and sanctity of a marriage.

I believe that there are not enough children who have examples in their lives of the true happiness that a strong marriage and family can bring them.

I truly don't believe in the excuse "We just stopped loving each other."

I think the expectations of what a marriage "should be" are the greatest downfalls to any relationship.

I believe that flaws in a marriage can be fixed if you are willing to put in the work and effort.

I believe that even big mistakes can be forgiven.

I think that comparing your marriage and life to others' always brings dissatisfaction.  As one of  my professors used to say, "Comparison is the cancer to happiness."

I believe that love and marriage get more beautiful as time goes on.

I think that quitting is easy, but sticking it out when times get tough is what makes a marriage count.

And despite the fact that sometimes it may seem that every force is moving against it, I believe in marriage

secret stuff.

I have 7 little secrets I am about to share. And then you can thank me later.

1. veryjane.com. this website has the best deals ever. The website is mostly shops from Etsy that post awesome daily deals on this website. Like these beautiful baby blankets that I completely fell in love with. (Clint, if the blush pink one somehow ends up in our mailbox, it definitely wasn't me that ordered it. Must have been my mom or something. probably.)

Thanks Somer for showing me this website! And also, please sign your name at the bottom of this post saying that you will not press charges against me for the divorce your husband files because of the amount of money you spend here. Ok thank you. read on.

2. Forever 21 is having their bogo sale. So buy one get one free on all sale items. oh dear this post is getting expensive isn't it? But I am proud to tell you that I did not buy anything at this particular sale.

3. Sometimes I look at blogs on my phone and I absolutely hate the "mobile phone view." So maybe you guys know this, but if your screen looks like this...

...then you can scroll down to the bottom and click on "view web version" and this is what it looks like.

4. It is almost my half birthday. Which I consider to be just as important as my whole birthday because a December birthday often gets the nod. So think about that little bit of information next time you decide to ignore your mother's/sister's/best friend's/brother's December birthday, ya big jerk.

5. Greek yogurt is disgusting right? I am talking 100% plain greek yogurt. [And if you don't think it's gross you seriously have something wrong with your taste buds or your genes or something maybe.] Well I have been trying to make myself like it and have tried so many brands. because I am all about equal opportunity, you know? So yesterday I finally found the cure to greek yogurt. I just added some vanilla almond milk, cinnamon, mashed up strawberries, and some whole blueberries (don't skip these, they add a lot of the sweetness) and it didn't even taste like rotten milk at all.

6. If you need a new little craft or hobby, try embroidery. I decided to try it last week and I love it! It's easy to learn how to do and it's pretty inexpensive. I found this pattern on the Sarah Jane Studios Etsy shop for only $6. It also came with a little boy pattern which I haven't done yet. This picture is kind of a weird color but whatever.

7. The Glee Project is back on. booyah. You can watch it on hulu. And if you want to see one of the best ever and most original versions of Coldplay's song Fix You, click here

And my last secret that doesn't really benefit anyone is that I accidentally shaved a bald spot in Clint's hair while cutting it. And it.was.awesome. Funniest thing I have ever done, but that's because I was able to fix it. well, for the most part. oops.

have a beautiful weekend my friends. And if you have any secrets, you better not be holding out on me.

xoxo, Tosh.

Insta love.

Reasons why I love Texas- in instagram pictures.

Because I got to help with an absolutely beautiful wedding this weekend. Basically my dream job. no big d.

And I even got to do the bridesmaid bouquets and centerpieces
(that you can also see in some of the pictures above).

and because I can stroll around and take pictures of all the adorable historic downtown buildings

and because we live close to my cousins Ben and Brandi, and their two adorable little girls. And yes I am aware of the blurriness of the picture. But I'm also aware of the cuteness. Go ahead and check him out. I do

and because my sister sends me pictures/videos of my little B every single day. And they never fail to make me smile. Even this little teary eyed one.

and because I get to learn to make awesome earrings from my talented friend Somer (who is also the one who did the wedding. Yes, she is one of those people whose talent is absolutely endless).
But let me tell you something about these earrings. When I posted this on instagram, a few people freaked out and thought I was super talented. But basically what the creativity consisted of was buying the pieces and putting them together. So, sorry to disappoint you.

And because if you have read my posts in the past, you know I am a big fan of "gold time. and Texas has some beautiful ones.

and because sometimes you get to become friends with a deer named Precious. (This is also Somer's deer. Does she have the coolest life ever? probably).

And because when you live far from home, all you have to do is take it one adventurous day at a time. and then do you know what happens? things turn out pretty great. that's what.
xoxo. n

Here's to you.

To the beautiful Texas sky that I was able to witness last night.

To the 65-year-old man at the gym who insists on grunting "Someone's gotta do it," with each bicep curl.

To the first day of June, in all it's summertime glory.

To my little sisters who light up my life, even from 1200 miles away.

To the absolutely genius stylist of the band, One Direction. Whoever you may be.

To the two wonderful friends who sent me beautiful and heartfelt messages, taking a deep stab to my crybaby side.

To Bre and baby Amari, for letting my sisters-in-law and I plan a sweet little sunshiny baby shower.

To the new friend who sent me a text with the phrase "BYOB," of which, despite the fact that I don't drink, confirmed my status as a grown woman.

To the wonderful man I'm married to, who is just a little boy inside- and I absolutely adore it.

To the city of San Antonio, for only being an hour away so that I can maintain my sanity while living in a small town.

To the genius Sydney from the daybook blog, for this beautiful post.

To my best friend Amber, who is the kind of friend that you know you will have through every stage of life.

To all my little Belizean babies who I miss more than words can express.

And to my mom and sister, for taking such sophisticated actions in duct taping Bostyn's diaper when she constantly insists on ripping it off. And of course to Bostyn, who is the world's cutest baby with absolutely wild hair.

This one is for you, champ.
